Activating Chi on NN-DMT?

Hi all. I'm curious whether anyone else has experience of activating Chi (Qi) while on NN-DMT.

I have practiced Qigong for a few years and I've had some success in activating Chi. A while ago I felt the urge to do a Chi activation exercise at the tail end of a DMT session and found that it was more effective than normal. Since then I've tried a few times with varying levels of success.

This morning however, on the tail end of a mild dose (definitely sub-breakthrough) the build-up of energy was so powerful that I had to stop for fear of exploding. I've read a bit about Kundalini Syndrome and while I don't know if it's real, I don't want to risk it.

I did find and old Nexus discussion here, but that was more about whether Chi is real and if so, whether you can knock people over using it. I know that it exists as a force within the body, because I have experienced it, and I'm not particularly interested in knocking people over.

But I am keen to know if anyone has experience of the effects of DMT on it, or is aware of any literature on the subject.

Techniques like Qigong definitely come alive on psychedelics in general. Idk about the claims of knocking others over lol but I've had a number of experiences that would fit the category of seeing/feeling chi or biofields or resonance fields or whatever we want to call it, around myself and others, usually through LSD and small hits of DMT

5-meO-DMT might be more conducive for this kind of work but I haven't tried it yet

As far as literature goes, The Psychedelic Mind Meld touches on practical ways to engage with this stuff though I think the most powerful techniques aren't really written about yet in a modern context

In my experience, 5-MeO-DMT is a million times more effective for this specific goal. A breakthrough (or even a high-dose sub-breakthrough) will strongly activate the phenomenon of bodily energy that's been described by spiritual practitioners forever.

It was discussed in a lot of detail in this thread: 5-MeO-DMT - Hype or Hyperbole?

My limited experience of 5-MeO-DMT has been extremely energetic (if that's the right word) but way beyond my control. Maybe I just need to practice the 5 more. I know Martin Ball is a strong advocate for energy work on 5, but within what sounds like a fairly rigid framework.

It's a lot easier to navigate the experience when using lower doses. It sounds like you already have an awareness practice of your own, and that's something that can be applied in the midst of a 5-MeO-DMT experience. In that sense, you can create your own framework through discovery. You could almost think of it as what steroids are to weight lifting. The steroids provide a huge boost towards success in the endeavor of strength and muscle, but the weight lifting itself is the most vital aspect. 5-MeO-DMT is great, but you need to learn how to harness that awesome power via your own meditative skills.

There's a book called Kundalini: The Evolutionary Force of Man by a guy named Gopi Krishna, who writes in detail about his awakening. A dissatisfied office worker, he practiced meditation every morning before work. Whatever technique he was using emphasized the rising of Qi up the spine, but not down the front midline (or Ren meridian/channel). He wrote that he was very sick for a number of years before he got a handle on circulating the energy through his body.

Personally, I tried doing the Microcosmic Orbit technique on the tail end of an aya dose (a session that was unremarkable beyond slight nausea and cloudlike colors shifting on the ceiling). Because my Ren channel was somewhat blocked due to nausea, I wound up having a seizure. I was completely conscious during the episode, which lasted less than a minute, and was able to pull myself out of it.

Caution is always a wise course of action.
