Acuminata questions (ID with pictures, extraction, smell)

SWIM has been looking for Acuminata for a while and having very little luck. SWIM found this in the Perth hills and is having trouble ID'ing it. it looks very similar to Acuminata but SWIM is hung up on a couple of tiny features. The plant definately contains DMT but the concentrations are unknown. A previous and reasonably bodgy extraction of a large quantity of the leaves resulted in an unmeasurably small amount of product , literally a scraping of resin from the bottom of the evap dish but no question it was DMT once SWIM smoked it, whats more is it couldnt have been placebo as it was SWIM's first very first hit, and a subsequent hit of some SWIM bought resulted in a similar feeling of a high pitched vibration and that uneasy feeling like slight nausea one gets when they sleep in way too long, hard to describe but its definately DMT. the Main concern in the ID is that the flowers are paler than SWIM expected and the leaves seemingly more numerous, admitedly this is not a wild plant as such so growing conditions may have been mor favourable reulting in more leaves. The odour of the bark and wood is different to other wattles i have encountered but not strong enough for me to be confident of a jam smell. It is sweet and somewhat fruity but mild and not really resembling the smell of raspberry. most of the leaves have a tiny hooked point at the end and the older leaves are a reddish colour near the tip. newer leaves seem to be slightly hairy towards the tip. the stem fo the small branches is reddish while the main trunk(s) are grayish (the colour of the bark seems to change to a brown after SWIM strips it). The bark at the base of the Trunk(s) has virtical splits in it. Where there are flowers they grow from the base of a leaf. imagine if the leaf made a Y with the stem, the flower grow between the stem and the leaf.Almost all flowers are singluar, aka no pairs or otherwise. The sample shown had only one pair of flowers and all others were singular. Thanks for your help :) Sorry about the very large, very grainy photos.

*NOTE i used the word leaf only beacuse Phyllode is more annoying, the leaves are infact Phyllodes.
 
On Saturday SWIM road tripped to york for some acuminata, found plenty. Succesful high yield extraction (around 1.8%) confirms its acuminata. i was surprised though that the bark smells so distinctly of boronia and yet its still claimed to be a respberry jam smell.
 
prtty simple, SWIM read through a lot of teks and SWIM just wanna see what the community reccomends. SWIM will be doing an extraction on 3Kg of Acacia Acuminata bark and is hoping to be able to achieve an ounce of DMT. What tek would you reccomend? i feel as though the unusually high yield from acuminata as compared to other wattles may be an issue when it comes to solubility, aka, how much water should i use and how much naptha. Should i break it up into smaller batches?
 
If you need to ask this question, that signals to me that you do not have experience extracting. If you don't have experience extracting (hell, even if you did have experience extracting) what the hell are you doing extracting from 3kg of material? Why are you shooting for an ounce of DMT???? I'm sorry, but I find your motives highly suspect.
 
Please, stop making all sorts of new threads cluttering the forum. You can make just one thread about this plant and ask your question and post your comments there. I merged your threads in one.

Also, instead of saying sorry about the large pictures and posting them anyways, you could just as easily resize them and then post. If you upload your pictures to imageshack, you can have them automatically resized. I resized for you, next time please do that.

Lastly, I agree with Snozzle regarding that large extractions. Why? I seriously hope you are not thinking about selling DMT or using it as some kind of trade currency because we are strongly against that, as the FAQ and the attitude page very explicitly say. Plus, it also makes me wonder about why you would want to do such large extrations with possibly little experience with extractions.
 
First of all, SWIM is inexperienced, he has done 3 successful teks but all essentially using his own sound knowledge of chemistry. the teks have been successful with a high yield and high purity. When i say he is inexperienced i refer to specifically with DMT extraction, his chemistry skills, both practical and theoretical are quite sound and he is quite familiar with Acid Base extractions in general. My questions are based entirely around his unfamiliarity with the chemnical properties of DMT. as outlined above his main concern is the solubility of the DMT in Acidified water, he does not want to use too little water and unknowingly bottleneck his tek but at the same time he does not wish to use too much water as to make extraction with naptha needlessly difficult. As for my motives, early this year SWIM introduced a friend of his to LSD and the results were unpleasant. prior to this the only psychadelic he (the friend) had used was DMT, which he is very passionate about. the incident with the LSD resulted in him being taken to hospital followed by lockup. Mania is a powerful thing. Anyway since then he has been afraid to take more then very small amounts of DMT as he feels the same desire to do the crazy things he did that night of the LSD (i wont go into it but needless to say it was very unpleasant and took a long time for family and friends to forget). Now another of our friends has decided to take him and another on a holiday to arnhem land where my family owns a small tourist camp. they believe they can help him prove to himself that he can get passed this and welcome him back to hyperspace. They plan to be gone for up to 6 months and have asked me to extract an ounce of DMT to last them the whole trip.

I didnt resize the images as they were already of poor quality and i did not wish to further degrade them by resizing them as this may have made it difficult to identify the wattle shown, in future i will crop them. i apologise, cropping did not occur to me at the time. As for making all sorts of new threads, the first thread was about a wattle i thought was acuminata but later proved not to be, the second was about the smell of Acuminata bark, seems like a bad idea to post that in a thread full of images of a wattle that ISNT Acuminata where my mention of the odour will likely be ignored due to people believing it is the result of a flase identification. the third thread only contained a mention of acuminata due to it producing a high yield, the yield being relavent, the wattle being used is not.
 
thank you for explaining, sorry if I sounded harsh. I still think its unnecessary to make all these extractions. People dont ignore comments here, if you just add one sentence saying that this smell comment is about a correctly identified acuminata and not the one you were considering before, it would already explain it. In a lot of people's threads there are more or less unrelated questions being asked, but you can specify it in the thread title and this is fine. If everybody makes a new thread for every single question or comment, the forum will be cluttered with threads and will not be so good anymore. Just food for thought.

Do you think the resizing of images made them lose quality? I think its much better this way, the way it was, it didnt fit the page and screwed the forum's format. Next time, if you still want to post very big pictures and not resize, better add them as clickable links so that people open them on a new page, instead of adding the code for them to open on the forum's page

As for your comments in general, good that you found the acuminata and had a high yield, congrats! I hope that dmt is put to good use. Im not very sure about what to think with your plan regarding that friend which had a bad LSD experience. What makes you think he wont freak out with DMT, maybe even more? If he showed signs of uncontrolable psychological issues with one psychedelic, I think its very risky to try to 'play doctor' with him with another substance. Please read (or ask him to read) the health and safety section we have here. DMT is not for all and its someone's life and psychological well being that you're talking about, not something to be played with. If you do decide to go ahead with this, in spite of contrary suggestions, please be as careful and prudent as possible!
 
I dont mind about the pictures now, whatever it is it has a very low yield so its probably for the best if the images are smaller, make it harder for people to identify the wrong wattle :p

He had been using DMT prior to the LSD for a long time (long before i met him) with no such effects. He feels the LSD has tainted him and that the reason the DMT feels different to him now is that he is not 'welcome' anymore. the friend taking him to arnhem land believes that this feeling is merely a result of his fear of the Mania repeating itself and that if they can overcome that he will be welcome back. the third friend going is a trained nurse so i believe they are safe in their venture
