Add NaOh every pull?

Some boils were done and a few pulls were done after that but the left over liquid was stored for a week and another few pulls are wanting to be done. Is NaOh added again to the liquid or does it only have to be basified that one initial time?

Some Teks call for adding additional NaOH in order to heat up the mixture, because the layers will separate more easily when warm and the NPS will be able to pull more at a higher temperature. As far as the pH level goes, adding base once should be enough, but it wouldn't hurt to check the pH just in case. You can never be too thorough

The liquid was just put into a pan of water and heated up that way as opposed to adding more NaOh. I knew the heat helped bit wasn't sure on if more NaOh was needed to help the extraction more of if it was only used as a basifying chemical that first time
