Hello fellow nexians,

my neibhor's neibhor Huitzilopochtli attempted to do a 69 ron's lime dry tek(with HCL) with some torch flesh. He used litlle less water than the amounts written in the tek at the initial stage where cactus and Caoh are mixed, because he thought that the mix was getting very watery and would absorb all the d-limonene later.

Everythind seemed to be going pretty well during the procedure but the yield is extremely low. :( Only 100-150mgs(cleaned with freezing cold dry acetone & IPA) FROM 125g dried cactus.

Huitzilopochtli suspects two things:

1) His material is bunk

or

2)He didn't put enough water at the beggining for the basification to fully and evenly take place.

If it is #2, is there a way that the situation can be saved? He doesn't want to give up yet... what's the best way to basify from there?

He thought about adding more CaOH and little water, but he is not sure if this is a good idea because the whole mix after the d-limo pulls has become a thick sludge that resembles fat(a little d-limo is trapped in there also) and don't know if the caoh can be spread evenly. Is this gonna result just to a bigger and thicker sludge with no sufficient basification being done again?:?

Can the sludge be mixed with a generous lye or koh water solution just like a normal stb? Shaken vigorously, let sit for a day or something and and then pull with d-limonene. Do you think it will work or it 'll end up to one big emulsion?:?

Your help & advice is more than precious! Thanx :)

yeah you can base with water and lye to ph 14
stir and wait 24hrs until the mix goes slack
add nps and do a test pull

could be bunk cacti...been known to happen
