alternatives to naptha?????

swim has been doing pulls on acacia confusa using naptha, evaporating the naptha to get the freebase product. swim then uses anyhdrous acetone to dissolve the freebase dmt and conducts a fasa extraction to yield dmt fumarate. my question is, is there any way to do pulls on the bark with acetone and skip the nps step? or must one preform pulls with xylene? swim would very much like to skip the xylene step if possible, any information regarding this would be of much appriciation. thanks

acetone is miscible in the water solution containing the bark.if you dont like to use xylene then buy limonene. if not you are left with other solvents as option, like dcm for example which i think is not less nasty than xylene.

swim am very aware that i can use limeonine instead of naptha i just rather use acetone if possible if not swim will just use xylene seeing as the fasa method will be being used after the pulls

using xylene or limonene as a nps will give you a full spectrum of alkaloids which your not getting from the naphtha, i would use limonene just because it is friendlier and nicer to work with. then salt out with vinegar to make acetates and convert them to fumarate, or fasip straight out of the limonene to get your fumarate.
