Here`s a couple of images of Anadenanthera macrocarpa`s seeds, seed pod and the embryos.

The seed pod is still unopened, around more than halfway into maturation. The seeds were collected from within the pods and placed in a series that shows how the embryo controls the hardening of the seed shell, from green to yellow to a dark brown coloring.

Within the bottom of the green seed (would correlate to the green ones on the left of the image above) you can just see the radicle of the embryo popping out, then an embryo on a similar stage to the one in the seed and then another embryo in a later stage. From bottom up, radicle, hypocotyl and epicotyl (or incorrectly said, root, trunk or stem and leaves).

Extraction of the mostly immature A. macrocarpa seeds as shown above (ones in the middle are the most frequent) using the stb to acetone to fasa method outlined within the 2020 bufo extraction tek thread by Brennendes (stickied) and somewhere in the wiki yielded 6.5% (!!!) of light tan powdery Bufotenine fumarates, after cleanup and prior to re-X. They were provided to estimate the concentration which was surprisingly too high, but with no access to tlc or other tests for verification of purity we will just go with the result we got.

Material is identical in appearance and taste to A. colubrina (or peregrina, who knows) fully matured seeds derived material that yielded a maximum 2% in yield.

Asked for images of the trunk of the trees to complement this post and to help differentiate between the species though in this case it is stupid easy: Macrocarpa has a darker thick crusty trunk.
