Another noob question... I appologize in advance.

I appologize if this already exist in the forum or may seem like common sense but I am rather impatient to get the answer.
I have done the Q21 A/B tek and this is my second attempt. The question is about the pull step. I know the tek says let freeze 8-12 hours but I am already seeing a decent amount of crystals around 4-6 hours. If I pulled at these times would it result in less yeild? Also I am filtering and recycling the naptha, so would it matter so much if I pulled early? - As in does the mush need more time to "ferment" between pulls to be able to produce more yeild or would 4-6 hours be adequate time?

You can go ahead and harvest those crystals, if you're feeling rushed. As long as there's more remaining in the naptha, the naptha will pull less next time you put it in. This means that your looking at doing more pulls if you're not crashing out a significant portion of the contents in your freeze precipitation. What I would suggest here, if you're really in a hurry, is to filter the naptha into another jar, and put that in the freezer for the four more hours, and let the spice dry out with a fan over it.

When SWIM is doing her pulls, as soon as she removes a pull, she puts in the solvent for the next pull.

Well when I finish a pull I pour the remaining solvent through a filter back into the "mush" for the next pull and go ahead and start the next pull and pour it into a second percipation container, while the other one dries. I was just curious about if the waiting time between the pulls is what matters. It seems I am getting about the max percipation of crystals around 4-6 hours cuase I have checked around such times and they seem to be yeilding well and then when I check again around 8-12 hours of freezing, it does not seem significantly different than when I checked at around 6 hours.

But my question seems mostly focused on my understanding/misunderstanding of the mixture. I thought the waiting time between pulls was also important for the "mush" to produce more spice molecules by the lime reacting slowly and turning more spice molecules to become solulable in the solvent. Am I understanding this correctly?

So in other words even if I am getting crystals at around 6 hours, if I did the pull step again would the solvent not pull as much because not enough time has elapsed for the lime to react in the "mush" to produce the significant yeild?

Or am I just misunderstading the process?

SWIM has only used this tek once, but in her experience, the pulls she did without waiting still yielded a significant amount of spice. She did her pulls over three or four days though, when she had the time.
