Antibiotics and aya?

My gf is on a antibiotics cure that will end on friday.

Would it be dangerous to ingest harmalas the day after?

If it is to soon then when will it be cleared from her system?

The name of the active chem is nitrofurantoin.
 
I would wait for someone with better medical knowledge to chime in, but my preliminary guess would be that it would not be ok to take aya the day after finishing antibiotics. Not sure when would be ok.
 
Nitrofurantoin does not interact adversely with RIMAs through their MAO-I effects; it does require both the liver and the kidney for excretion but does have a short (30-120ish minutes, depending on who you believe!) elimination/plasma half-life, assuming normal renal/hepatic function.

Most commonly its used for a lower urinary tract infections and is usually well tolerated but on occasion has caused insidious hepatic side-effects.This is where giving firm advice gets tricky but I personally wouldnt want to assault my liver with oral harmalas for at least a couple of days after completing a course of such a drug.
 
Thank you guys, we had decided to wait a week or so but i still wanted to ask.

my gf will do a ceromony with a brazilian shaman in 2weeks but wanted a warmup sesion before since it was a long time since she did aya.
