Any benefit to straining out plant material before pulls and related questions?

Hi Everyone, I have gotten pretty comfortable with extractions in the 50-150 gram MHRB powder range but when attempting to do larger amounts the viscosity seems to become an issue. I understand I can add more water and that is how I have been dealing with it. I was most interested in finding out if anyone know exactly how much water is required to extract and hold the spice? When doing pulls is the spice already in the water and each pull just washes more and more of it out or is the water saturated and multiple pulls are needed to remove the spice to allow the water to hold more? I believe the answers to those questions would answer this question but after the initial warm soak in the acetic solution can the plant material be removed with out effecting yield? I have seen teks that do this but most seem to avoid it, weather that is because of ease or yield I am not aware.

Simply in terms of manageability of handling the process, it's better just to stick to the size range that you've already used. The main problem, besides the difficulty of handling large volumes of extraction materials, is that volume scales as the cube while surface area only scales as the square.

This cannot be done if the substances are spread on a large scale. We do not want to "turn on the world", those who are ready will seek it. Big extractions (and the preparations leading to it and gathering of materials) can attract the attention of the Law.

Spreading of the message of psychedelics itself through superficial YouTube videos showing use or extractions can also cause a lot of damage to the community (as happened with salvia) and is frowned upon.

I don't think the question depend on the quantity (and no big quantities have been mentionned; its all very subjective ^^ ) , and its a relevant question!
I never saw a side to side comparative. I'm sure putting tons of lye will dissolve the plant matter and extract some extra spice ; but how much more? And does it compense for the extra difficulties, or even for the solvent lost in highly viscous soups?
I leave it to the experts!
