Approach at Cleaning Solvent Residue in DMT

WELL fellow nexians.... I CANNOT GET a decent solvent in my country... the only naphtha that i found leaves a residue... almost invisible but you can surely smell it...

i have a bunch of dmt extracted with that REMOVED solvent.... Im trying to figure out an approach to clean it! tell me if you think it will work please...

1. Dissolve dmt in more solvent
2. Add vinegar
3. separate naptha/vinegar
4. add base to vinegar
5. pull from vinegar with etilic ether (only clean solvent i can get)
6. separate layers
7. evaporate

will this do the trick and remove the nasty naptha residue?? i dont want to throw away the spice but i also dont want to smoke it as it is

Sounds frustrating. I'm not familiar with etilic ether so I can't help you there. It depends on two things as far as I know: 1) Is DMT soluble in etilic ether? 2) Is etilic ether a non-polar solvent?

Have you read about FASA? It's under the "Extraction Methods" sub-forum.

Can you get clean acetone?

In theory, it sound nice (taken with rocks of salt^^). Just be carefull with ethyl ether, it's very volatile and explosive.

As wearepeople said, FASA, FASW and other FAS(x) are good for this purpose. The result is fumaric DMT so you can't smoke it but for oral use it's appropriate.

Yeah i have read bout it... yes i can get clean acetone!! but the fumaric acid is kinda hard to get in small quantities, only bulk sales of 50 pound sacs... im considering ordering it from overseas... but im scared it is checked by customs and government agencies

you can always do non-polar extraction with heptane, i myself never tried it as i prefer spice so i use toluene, but i will give heptane a test in a week from now and tell you if it works. I also believe you can order it on amazon in good quality and purity.
I take all the chemicals i need from sigma-aldrich so i do not bother much with sales of dirty ligher fluids and stuff xD ...

Also i do believe your ehtyl ether method should be pretty good to remove any naptha residue ...

Posting threads in which the subject lines are composed of all capital letters is also discouraged, as this may be perceived as obnoxious by some members.

All that aside, I don't see any reason to be concerned about customs inspecting a package full of fumaric acid... I am not aware of any jurisdictions in which fumaric acid is prohibited. Worst case scenario, it might take a little longer to arrive. Importing a nonpolar solvent which is safe to use (i.e. evaporates clean/does not leave residue) might be an option to consider as well.
