I may be stating the obvious here, but I work on the basis that risk involved in the use of any substance or activity has to be balanced against the enjoyment I obtain from it.
For example, I used to enjoy smoking cigarettes. But I decided that the enjoyment I obtained from them couldn't possibly be worth the associated long term health damage. For someone else that balance of payments might work out completely differently. My point is, I didn't quit because smoking is dangerous per se, but because I didn't enjoy it enough to accept the level of risk.
Psilocybin and DMT have enriched my existence. I would be quite willing to accept a degree of risk for that, if there is any (which is inconclusive anyway).
