Art Bin

Migrated topic.
@uncle Knucles- It would be so sick to see your work printed. Wish I could see it in person, but if you ever do get it printed you should post a picture here? I couldn't even imagine spending that amount of time on one piece... I start getting anxious at about the 30 hours mark and just decide to post.

@Sebastian- Superb creation! It's coming out lovely! The rose flower almost reminds me of a galaxy. Be sure to update us if you decide to add more!

@Guyomech- Not sure if you will read this, but I just looked through all of your art and it is some of the most inspirational work I have ever witnessed. You blossom with new ideas. The creativity flows through you so much... There are a lot of aspects in my own work with which I struggle, mostly that being lighting. Just by looking at your art, I can better understand the properties of shade and light.

@nodice- Looks great! I think your electronic, mechanical approach is very exciting. Reminds me of when you break through the thresh hold and are surrounded by unspeakable fractal/synthetic structural patterns.

@GoldenEye- I loved that James Bond video game, "GoldenEye," but also your photos! Those spikes look like they would hurt so bad though... that makes me wanna try it now, haha X)

This one's a bit rushed... like I said, I get anxious and just wanna post something. I'm not happy with it, but I do feel that I am learning more from each drawing.

"Time passes, people move, like a river's flow it never ends. The flow of time is always cruel. Its speed seems different for each person, but no one can change it. A thing that doesn't change with time is a memory of younger days... A childish mind will turn to noble ambition, young love will become deep affection, the clear waters surface reflects growth." -Sheik

Hey Salviadroid, thanks for your kind comment.
I really like your latest image, Did you have a DMT trip once that took you to an egypt temple? I had, so your artwork reminds me of it, good work!

Here is my latest update

Yeah, not to get all prima donna or anything, but you have to blow it up. It really doesn't read that well at any smaller a size.

I don't feel happy contributing to your prima donna status but your pic is the dogs bollocks: I had fun zooming in and out on different parts. Very trippy. 1200 hours well spent. I think that you should up the ante, go completely haywire and do 2000 hour hyper epic for the next one!

Much appreciated. It's definitely been an obsession for me for as long as I was working on it, and I've felt strangely depressed the last few days without it occupying my attention.

I ordered prints on aluminum, and am excited to see it big. Should have a proof in a couple of days and the big ones within a week!

I've got the next project picked out already. Going to do another ZBrush reworking of another 2D painting in my gallery, called Bad Karma. I'm guessing I can do it in half the time of this one.

Oh man, Art, great stuff! Wonderfully unsettling

I have absolutely LOVED Bad Karma since it first popped up on here, so I'm very much looking forward to this next stretch!

Things got crazy in the last 3 weeks. I started getting lots of attention from art blogs, including ThisIsColossal, SF MOMA's tumblr site (!), and I even got a gallery article at The Guardian. My Flickr got 2 million page views within a week.

So this is a somewhat different medium than prior posts, but this is the art that I make--defiantly psychadelic influenced. Basically I go out into nature and build giant rock circles. The big one is over 220 feet in diameter and took me about three months of solo work. I hope y'all enjoy.

Here is the big one that took me all summer to build. There is a lot of detail, and I designed it in such a way that it couldn't simply be photographed; I want for people to have to come and actually experience the art.

***a very special side note on this one-- the first time I consumed DMT was at the center if this circle. I moved the bones and everything that was in the center mandala to outer portions and covered the center in pine needles. Then I laid a blanket over that. It was a very awesome experience getting the opportunity to experience what I did in the church I built.
