Been years since I've attempted a portrait. Rough early sketch of a certain Mother plant spirit I met on a psilouascha journey last June. Going to make an ultra high resolution ( and proportionate )digital /mixed media version with an amazonian-esque enchanted landscape to place her in. Bit of a challenge but i have been wanting to do it for a while and I won't stop till the vision does her actual majestic beauty justice.
So here's a very early work in progress. going to re-do most of it in higher resolution and more crisp with more of her body with the focal point being a 5th etheric chamber of the heart.
Last night, to draw in more inspiration i got a nice lungfull of 'magic' and just Gazed directly at it and saw many sub-aquatic-mermaid-esque and nature female spirits greeting me and moving in all kinds of ways. to the point of thier facial expressions and silliness and good nature being so funny i let out a massive laugh Completely concealed yet in plain sight.
Then last night, i found myself lucid in a different civilization.maybe higher astral or subteranean? I met a girl who i knew was responsible for the visions or one of the beings i saw. We walked past a fountain and some kind of duck/platypus/dog/monkey hybrid swam through it and jumped out the other side. we walked in a feild and she was telling me about descendents of Dionysus and a city that began with P. The gravity was different too.
WE got to the edge of some woods and a low murmuring sound begain and this caused them all silent alarm. i asked what it was and what was wrong but then woke up.
Have had lucid and astral experiences most nights in the last week so i hope to find out more.
Gonna keep working on this one for a while until my eyes melt
Thanks guys . Going away for a few days so I won't be able to work on her sadly but I think it's a good thing to not see the art you're making for a while when you've been staring and tweaking for long. Will just sketch composition and subject ideas while away.
NIce piece. Understated. Meditative. It has a feel of a ritual to it, but non specific, if that makes any sense. Well photographed with a very nice play of shadows there too.
