Art Bin

Migrated topic.
I have no doubt of all of this. SalviaDroid simply seems to zone into my version of hyperspace so much more effectively than many other visionary artists, that I just had to ask :)

Hey, that's really cool. Good tune as well. I enjoy watching it come together, get constructed and deconstructed and reconstructed, fine tuned, changed again. Collaborations can be fun that way.

The high poly versions don't look very much deformed, can't you just bake a normal map and/ or displacement map and render the low poly versions with it? The small details you have should work well with normal maps. That way you are sparing poly's, (seriously 50 Mill  ) and still have all the details in it.

I've never used any maps to be honest, but I guess I'm going to have to learn. I added a couple more pieces and now have two full rows consisting of 120 million polys...

Here's just a little mixer I had laying around. I am really really really busy. Love you all <3

I usually only do digital paintings but I just started my first analog painting. Not sure how I feel about it yet !

I believe I am losing my mind.
😁
so much detail. I can imagine. The colors from your last finished pieces blew me away, combined with meticulous detail. Can't say I've ever seen others art quite like this. They are like holographic blueprints for sculptures, of concrete or steel, of clay or of wood and bone. Carry on.

Whatever u pick trust your judgment. Its gonna be awesome no matter what you choose the detail is stunning! maybe try to fade some color into detail if that makes sense? But I don't know much about digital art but just a random spawn of an idea, lol:d

PS, "all the crazy ones are the good ones" lol

Cant wait to see the final product:thumb_up:

Art, your level of detail is off the charts. I'd love to 3D print that clock and hang it up in my office.

Handel, that's super cool. I'm enjoying watching as your compositions get simpler yet more poignant.

You need something to reflect in this shiny reflective glass or it won't look good. You can put something in the scene which then reflects in the glass, fake it via texture or use an HDRI image for lightning and reflection.

Also for glass you want to use fresnel reflections and refraction since your glass is curved.

My Advice: forget the glass until you've got the rest of the models, textures + lighting nailed, as glass material is 90% dependend on the surroundings.

Thanks. That's all good feedback, but I've tried any number of textures for the reflection. They all look no bueno. Refraction is the key, I know, but for some reason, the Refract and RFactor sliders both seem to do absolutely nothing. I've tried a million different combinations, and... nothing.

Could just be a bug in the software, I don't know. ZBrush will do you like that from time to time. I spend a lot of time working around momentary dead ends.
