Art Bin

Migrated topic.
First of all, there are pages of inspiring stuff in this forum. They were obviously created through inspiration and skill.
I too have, at various times, desired greatly to capture in color the best representations of unearthly beauty witnessed through the entheogenic senses.

Here are two of my most successful attempts; They were both created in 2010-11

Some talented characters here for sure.
So true, it continuously blows my mind to tiny iridescent shards, just how creative this Nexian community truly is. And inclusively, we are graced with many brilliant minds of erudite, deep intelligence. So many fine soul-frequencies visit this lovely oasis. Hats off to you, Art, as your work is quite outstanding!

Tough crowd.

Anyway - here are turnarounds for various (unfinished) individual components. Dog gets painted and posed next, then a couple weeks of hard surface stuff, and then I should be ready to start putting the pieces together and rendering.

It's gonna be spicy, I promise.

Impressive stuff, Art!

I love the gargoyls in the vid you posted. Have you thought about properly animating anything? For example, having the gun fire and the bullet fly through mr. clown? Or is the program not made for that kind of animation?

Thank you both. ZBrush is actually capable of animating, although very few people use it for that. Even just making turnaround videos like these can be a buggy pain in the ass. The better play would be to export all the pieces to Maya and animate them there, but that's not yet a part of my skill set (although it will be).

So, yeah. It's a part of the long term plan, but for now, just producing the final static image is taking me the better part of a year.

So, an old hyperspace artifact that I made as a high school sophmore in Art class (2008?) was uncovered today while cleaning.

I don't think at this point I had yet experienced a psychedelic. But i was always ready for it and looking forward to the beautiful geometric amazingness they produce even before doing them.
