Art Bin

Migrated topic.
Thanks Lizz, red elephant was done in mono chromatic water color, Indian done in water color. Cougar in oil pastel on black pastel paper (and water damaged). Bulldog color pencil and lion oil on Masonite. All my stuff was traditional as there wasn't much in computer generated stuff at that time. With the exception of the bulldog, rest are from 91-92 time frame.

I need to get back into it, would really like to do some psychedelic stuff traditionally.

I've been away from the Nexus for a while, and really, I have been away from psychedelics for a while, too. Been dealing with some anxiety, and an overflowing life in general.

Things are great!

Even though I haven't been very trippy for a while, my experiences are still a part of me, and here are a couple of more psychedelic works I have done lately.

That's exactly what I'm talking about Mr.Peabody
Those are fantastic

I would like to start sketching things I see during my experiences too, I really need to get into the habit of doing it right afterwards. Thanks for the inspiration :)

Peace

SO2 and Mr. P,

Really amazing work, truly appreciated! Thank you both! I always find this thread so inspiring and refreshing. Keep 'em coming!

Mr. Peabody, I love the new work. I can see a huge arc of improvement. That's really exciting.

The third piece you posted reminds me of Ludweig Meidner, one of my very favorite painters.

Mr. P!!! How I've missed you and your exuberantly positive and cheerful attitude. All three of your peices kick major butt. I see a little (tasteful, unique) resemblance to Guyo's art.... Love the color fading and love the structure. Keep up the great work and hope to see you around more often! Hope the anxiety is on it's way out the doh!

Man, you guys are awesome! Thanks so much! 😁

I'll try to post more often!

It's funny you say my stuff resembles Guyo's work. I thought that I had a similar style when I first discovered his work, though his is so much more focused and polished than mine. Admittedly, I have taken a few of his techniques and tried to incorporate them into my work.

And yeah, I think the anxiety is out the doh. Been feeling pretty good for a while now. Just needed to learn to accept the world, and myself for what it all is!

Thanks again everyone. I am always so happy with what a great group of people are here at the Nexus!

Those are some beautiful paintings Mr. Peabody ^^. The first one is especially fun to stare at.

Yes please post moar ^^
