Attempted extraction. Quick questions.

SWIM's naphtha was nearly 100% clear when SWIM put it in in the glasses for freeze precipitating. My question is should it have had a little bit of a yellow tint? All of the naphtha in all 3 glasses was clear with no sign of visible crystals in the naphtha. Is this ok? Do the crystals appear when it's been in the freezer for a while and only then?

Also, the naphtha was almost like water, not jello like in the least.

It depends on a couple of factors, like if you heated the naptha before the pull, whether it would turn yellow, which just indicates that it has picked up plant oils. Crystals can start appearing within 3 or 4 hours of putting in the freezer, if it's cold enough.

If you used a lot of naphtha the saturation may not be great enough for a freeze precip. Also, the initial shorter pulls will pick up less oil and will be clearer. Enjoy the yield!

Yeah SWIM heated it before the pull but it didn't turn yellow.

SWIM used what Gir's method called for, 250ml. SWIM thinks it will be all right.

just be patient and wait now, I guess.. 12-24 hours in the freezer in coldest setting should be more than enough. If not much precipitated, evap till half and try putting in the freezer again.

Also make sure to make several cycles of mixing and letting it stand a bit before pulling out to pick up plenty of dmt.

If your bark is good, then it will work just fine, chemistry is on your side
