found what i believe to be an acacia around here.. gathred some bark and a lot of leaves.. im guessing the leaves will be the better source of the alkaloids, they smell really nice almost piney / eucalyptusy.. but the bark was really dry

anyways im wondering what would the best way to go about with this to get a rough extraction from the leaves with out hurting anything??

well im not even sure if its really acacia.. hard to tell when its not flowering (its winter!!)

anyone know how to extract or synthesize efedra salts or free base from efedra straw grass?

thanks for any help ive heard distillation might work im not sure? my guess would be the ethanol route then distill? if i did this, how would it crystallize? danke
 
Before you should even consider the possibility to extract, you should identify the tree and it's alkaloids. Most Acacia has only trace amounts of alkaloids, and many do not have DMT. You must know what you are dealing with before you can deal with it.
 
hence why i said moving on.. anyways any one know anything about extracting from ephedras? please inform inquiring mind.. :)
