aya retreat death in the U.S.

Migrated topic.
Jees,

I respect you a lot, but can't understand where this is coming from?

Can you elaborate on your view what makes one MASTER shaman.

..... or is this a joke?

Yes, ironical exaggeration 😉

It is so weird, people can tell anything they want, it will have it's followers and believers.
Claim yourself a dashing title and it will work. People are desperate it seems.

As resident bearer of bad news...
From the site: "LAS VEGAS (CN) - A man drugged with ayahuasca drowned on a "guided meditation" during a "personal growth retreat" led by a "hypnotherapist, minister, licensed spiritual health coach and author," his mother claims in court."
another sad story here

What the heck is a licensed spiritual health coach? What does such a license allow one to offer or advise?

I seriously despise so-called guided trips. And where was the fricken guide when someone in a vulnerable state, who has surrendered themselves and their hard earned money, to a so-called guide. . . .where was that person when the . . . customer was drowning.

Even without involvement of scheduled material, . . . if I were the DA on this case, my first charge would be manslaughter, aka third degree MURDER.

Now repeat loud, slow and clear yourself:
Hamilton Souther is MASTER SHAMAN

Now relax and 1 x deep breath,
+ hug yourself.

Nice !
Everything is going to be alright now.

Whahahaha! Sarcastic gold 😁

And so. This mentality, that you so accurately mock :P , is so widespread amongst
"new agers" and exactly that which makes me want to smack some sense into them. :P

While their Hubris is so extreme that it's just silly and humorous, there are MANY off these megalomaniac anusclowns posing as "Master Shamans" pooring anyone & everyone cups of strong ayahuasca: That is seriously irresponsible. They don't know how to supervise either.

And it's wierd: To supervise someone you just gave Ayahuasca doesn't require you to be a "Master Shaman". It only requires you to be empathic & responsible and not to be a moron
and abandon your clients mid-session.

Then there is Mancoluto who probably added Toe(brugmansia) to the Ayahuasca.
Then there are alot of European New Age-bull-excremen self-proclaimed "Ayahuasa
healers" who get people as far as to pay 200 euros for a single session.

The world of present day Psychedelic Shamanism/Therapy is infested with Spiritual parasites.
A Shame. Therapeutic/Shamanic institutions could be subjected to safety & health- regulations if only they were JUST F-ING LEGALISED....

This is a long lived trend in "alternative" therapies: herbologist, supplement and biological healer,,ozon therapies, vitamin drip therapies... All this "curing" what conventional medecine doesn't, and obviously not regulated by the state. This is all targeted to miserable sick people who would do anything to get better. Prices are so high, and the results are very low, and since not regulated by the state the insurance is not covering

People literally go to bankruptcy and don't even get better.

These at first illuminated "doctors", just close the doors later on when the treatments are actually not rendering significant improvement, and one can't even sue them.

Also all the supplement industry is the same...

I spend all my life being a sucker, and spend unbelievable amount of money, but the desire to be well was stronger. To me these alternative practitioners are criminals, and would like to see them behind bars.
