Ayahuasca brew using a pressure cooker?

I read here The Essential DMT Guide - DMT Discussion - Welcome to the DMT-Nexus to use a slow gentle boil. I am wondering if a pressure cooker could be used.

A slow gentle boil is the same temperature as a fast rolling boil. The only difference is that rate at which the water evaporates. A pressure cooker would eliminate evaporation but would increase temperature. Would the increased temperature be a negative for the brew? Is Dimethyltryptamine temperature sensitive?

As far as I'm aware, DMT is stable at PC temperatures.

I don't know how conducive it would be to brewing a good Aya brew though, I imagine it would possible to overcook it and increase the levels of other compounds that you don't want in the brew.

Some of the stuff I've been reading lately seems to suggest that shorter cook times give a brew that is less nauseating because of the auxiliary compounds released during a standard all day cook, so the PC cook could make some the other stuff more soluble in a short time.

It would definitely be a good way to reduce the energy input due to the increased efficiency of PC cooking. If you can find the shortest effective cook time it could be a good innovation. I know I don't want a pot of Aya brewing all day for several reasons - smell energy use, risk exposure ect. I think the idea has merit.

I'm certainly no authority on Ayahuasca, so take what I've written with a grain of salt and maybe see what some of the more experienced members think about it.

That is easy.

Iam going to sound soo much like a noob because I don't know all the terminology.

I have to boil and filter it 3 times. After I have combined those 3 'pulls', then I would reduce it in an open pot when there is no plant material in it.

I wouldn't do an all day brew. I would still do 3 or 4 boils. With a PC, I would not have to babysit it. I could go do something for 2 hours, come back to it and prep another boil. Then babysit it when I reduce it.

My PC's are not stainless, so I wonder about that aswell.

I live out in the country so I am not worried about exposure. I can shoot guns in my front yard and nobody would think anything of it. Many years ago I did a cannabinoid extraction with ethanol in a rice cooker. That is something I would never do if I had a neighbor closer than 1/4 mile.

I wouldn't be keen to cook it in aluminium if that's what the PC is made of. If you can find some large jars you could put the brew in those and then put them in the PC. You could either loosely fit lids on the jars or cover them with foil to stop the brew splashing around the inside of the PC.

3*2 hour cooks seems like a bit of overkill to me, with the increased efficiency of the PC I believe you could reduce your cook times down to about 1 hour.

A good approach is to use a crock pot over a long period of time up to 24 hours changing water every 8 hours or so. You can just leave it on overnight no babysitting required.

I've heard of people using pressure cookers with success, just takes a while for all the steam to condense after each wash.
