Beautiful Sparkly Crystaline Purity from a 50g ext.

Migrated topic.
I just weighed this 1.6g. Is this a 3.125% yeild?

Actually could someone explain how you determine this? If my answer is right don't bother.

I'm amazed at how fast this dried, and it's fluffy. Is there a way to test purity?

thanks:twisted:

STB with a week of vinegar soak.

15ml per gram of lye

1 to 1 ratio of lye to mimosa.

I started noticing that I'd look in the freezer and see tons of snow after 10-12 hours.
in the past i was patient and waited 24-36 hours, but it seemed like 1/3 of the goods were gone after i collected as much as i could.

But, at the 10-12 hour mark I pour off the naptha and use a spoon to collect as many crystals as possible then pour the naptha back in the original jar and let it go for another 10-12 hours. I usually get around .4 g off the last freeze.

I have a question about freeze precipitating. Do the crystals or can the crystals sink back into the naptha if left in too long?

Umm vinegar soak? That's an A/B not a STB.

In any case. Looks good, kinda hard to tell with your dark lighting though. Did you try smoalking it? Tastes nummy? :)

Looks like you poured off the naphtha and scaped it while it was still wet and cold.
What should be done is the naphtha poured off and then put back in the freezer to dry. Then for the container to be covered by plastic and taken out to warm to room temp.
If you did that then nevermind my hint! But you mentioned something about melting (sinking back in the naphtha).

lye was added to the vinegar mimosa soup along with some h2o. no pulls of the gar, no separating plant material from vinegar. Is this considered an A/B, STB, or a hybrid?

I honestly don't know, but this method works great for me.

I sampled some this morning, it was beautiful.

Ever since I added the vinegar soak to extractions I end up with these fluffy white crystals. They are very pretty and smoke smooth.

I pour off the naptha into a seperate beaker spoon out as much as possible, then pour the naptha back into the original collection jar and let it go for another 10-12 hours.

I have the jar drying now and it looks like there's a decent amount to scrape up.

in the past I let jars sit in the freezer for 24-36 hours and it just seems like there's alot more in them at the 12 hour mark, that's why I do it that way.

Thanks for the tips, I've never done it like that before.
