Someone I know just had her first experience with DMT after considering trying it for a couple of years. She had previously taken a hit from a 2:1 changa joint, but it was a small one and only gave her the tryptamine clarity and color enhancement, and the energy. Instead of sticking around with the rest of us, she had the sudden urge to go inside and look around... and do dishes.
She was finally ready to take a substantial dose. 25mg on copper mesh in the GVG, heat provided by torch lighter. I figured this would be enough, despite the learning curve of the GVG. I didn't want to give her too much. I lit the lighter for her and thick clouds of vapor filled the chamber. It looked like she really got a good hit. I took the pipe down and left the room. She didn't want my presence to affect her trip. Totally understandable, as I prefer to journey solo.
A few minutes later, she came out of the room and said: "Well, that was interesting." Then proceeded to describe what I would consider to be a "dim trip", which I attribute to my not being ready or to a low dose or incomplete vaporization. She wants to go again, with a larger dose. She's in no hurry. She said maybe in the next week or so. I told her that she would know when she was ready.
One interesting thing that she told me was something that I usually associate with Salvia. There was a fan running in the room for white noise purposes. She said that almost immediately after exhaling, she became the fan. She wasn't spinning, she was just the fan.
I've become objects on Salvia. I've had OBE's on DMT where I was in someone else's body. I was that person, in their part of the world, with no other psychedelic effects. I don't recall ever hearing or reading about anyone becoming inanimate objects on DMT.
Anyone out there have any input?
