Ok i don't know if this is the right term. In my language people say you're "burnt out" if you take too many psychedelics and you start acting strange. I think in English you say "fried" or something like that. They don't have a mental disorder that psychedelics have brought up. They seem to live in their own world and other people don't get them.
I always wondered how do such people view the situation from the inside. What does it feel like from the inside?
Yesterday i was with a friend which is far from a typical person and i was talking about how beautiful Moon looked and i found out that for him it's literally a rock that reflects sunlight. And i said "yes of course technically it is but if you look at it it feels alive right?" and he said no. And so i said "ok i understand that but the Earth at least feels alive right?" "yeah it's full of life but the Earth itself is a rock as well".
This is just an example to say how each individual sees reality in a different way, and some see it in a way that is vastly different from the one that other people see. And maybe all the people in my hometown that people see as "burnt out"/"fried" are just people that see reality in a different way, no wonder i can talk to them when most people can't, and maybe i am fried as well. How can one understand it from the inside? Is there a "lite" version of it?
Also what might be a completely normal belief in a culture would be the opposite in another culture. Like for example i often salute the rivers, the trees and such with a hand gesture like the kung fu salute and i always thought it was an oddity of mine but then i saw a Vietnamese woman salute a river like that as if it was completely normal.
i know this is a rambling more than a thread
but what are your thoughts on this? have you ever thought about these things?
