Best vaporizer for DMT?

Hello. I have some DMT available and I wanted to try it.

All my other attempts have been shitty (I have nothing to reliably vaporize it), so I decided not to waste it anymore and just wait.

Now I have some money on Amazon (yes, amazon only) and I now can order whatever vaporizer I want. I wanted to buy the yocan vaporizers (I heard here and on reddit that they work well) but unfortunately they are now sold out and may not be restocking anymore.

I will order from Amazon (Italy) and I need the item to be available on Amazon Prime.

So, what are the best vaporizers? I'd like to spend less than 100 EUR. If possible, I'd like a device that works out of the box without buying more stuff (for example I saw that with yocan vaporizers you needed to buy some ceramic thingy). Leave anything you came up with in a reply and hopefully it's available. Thank you.
 
can you buy a glass vapor genie on amazon in italy?
the wooden one would also be an option, but not quite as good for dmt as the glass version.

Nope, doesn't exist on Amazon. Also, wouldn't a vapor genie be difficult to clean (and smell while smoking)?
 
i find cleaning very easy (i just cleaned mine a few minutes ago - took about 5 min). All i do is pour some acetone into it and swirl it around, repeat until the acetone comes out clean - i wear gloves so i can plug the holes with my fingers.

i find the vapor genie does not smell that much when smoking but i can only compare to a Freebase pipe which stinks a lot.
if you are worried about the smell because you live with your parents i would not recommend to smoke DMT at home at all since i find it impossible to hide the smell.

And haven't even tried it again because, well I have a GVG which works awesome and the Yocan just doesn't cut it. Small harsh hit (HOT and DRY) and I figured there had to be some left after a .033 and nothing...... The reason I say "had to be some left" is not because I can't do .033 but because I could've gotten higher with a .005 in a crack stem with screens mashed in the end and a bic lighter...

Are you having luck with one Kable or are you wondering?

Yeah, I love the thing! I think I have about a dozen break throughs on mine which is pretty much one for one with my breakthrough dose of 25mg. Also I've done a number of sub breakthrough doses just because it was so convenient. On a mg per mg basis the dose with my Yocans feels identical to what I get with my GVG.

I love the GVG too, but the to me the Yocan Evolve Plus XL is just more user friendly. No torch, no glass... So I wonder what the difference could be in our experience. Perhaps how we're hitting it? Whether we pre-melt or how open the air flow is set? I'm definitely not trying to take a long slow hit like I do with my GVG, perhaps if your doing that it might explain why the gas gets hot and maybe burns the spice?

I know when I started with my GVG it took me a little while to get consistent with it.
 
Okay Kable, so before I through it away. Please give me your best pointers on the Yocan, Everything from vent positioning, premelt, button pushing, does it matter where in the chamber it goes, Hit speed, Pausing before hitting or straight for it before button push, etc. Any advice will be taken into consideration.
 
OK, here's what works for me.

-I open the air flow wide open.
-I pulse it first to make sure the battery is strong and the wires turning red hot in ~1-2 seconds. I think that preheats the crystals so it heats up faster when you want it to.
-I weigh and load my standard breakthrough dose from my GVG. I poor it right in the center making sure it's not stuck to the sides, so I may push it with that little spoon that comes with it.
-Then I melt the spice, watching it closely, by barely tapping the button until the powder is gone, but not enough to make any smoke, and I make sure there isn't any spice left sitting atop that center square.
-I exhale all my air, before I start.
-I hold it vertical so any DMT doesn't run to one side, but I don't think about that too much.
-I hit the button and hold it down and within a second or so I'm inhaling off of it as hard as I can.
-Perhaps 5-7 seconds later I get a sense of heat going down my throat all at once but it's not that bad, but it feels like it's all vaporizing at once. I feel like that's the moment you swallow the alien, but I keep inhaling until I'm sure it's more than 10 seconds.
-Then I usually inhale a little fresh air on top of that so my lungs aren't still half empty and hold my mouth shut with my hand just to make sure I don't cough, and hold my breath for 15 seconds.
-Lay back and enjoy the ride!

It's harder to explain than to do.

The one thing I like about the GVG more is the unrestricted air flow, so the Yocan feels a little claustrophobic at first and the vapor maybe more dense and all at once but sucking a little air on top helps a lot.
 
i have been very unsatisfied with the gvg and very satisfied with the yocan.

with the gvg, even when i did use liquid pads, the dmt often just ran through the mesh into the pipe and formed a puddle. i had some great trips with it, but i also had a lot of misses.

with yocans, it is very easy for me to vape the precise dose i want,there is very little spice that remains in the head.
i think one source of miss with yocans is that it is realy easy that the vaporizer gets to hot. 15W seem plenty for dmt, a quality battery mod certainly helps.
it also is important to pre-melt the crystals before vaporization, especially if fluffy crystalls are used. else, one will just suck in the crystalls without vaporizing them.

the one thing that bothers me with yocan is that i can get the vaporizers very easily from amazon, but replacement heads are just not aviable anywhere.
so i ended up buying them on aliexpress. they are realy cheap there, and delivery time was comparably fast to europe (compared to other deliveries i had from aliexpress), only some 2 weeks. doubt the heads are original though.

You need better mesh with proper placement and shape. Stainless steel scrubber recommended. Period.
 
Which Yocan is best for DMT, and can you use it for changa too ?
I used mostly GVG and few times bong for changa. But I think I have less success with GVG since maybe my torch lighter is not as strong as it used to be, the health stone is maybe old and damaged, and also I vaped far less often chanag or dmt and might have lost a bit technic.
But I think new electric vaporizer might be good and easy to use.
 
no, yocan wont do changa. its a wax chamber vaporizer - you put in the spice, it vapoizes it, but it cant realy vaporize herbs, at least i dont think it can.

witch one is best i cant really answer as i have not tried all modells, but the cerum works nice for me.
a dual coil yocan at 15W has plenty of power to vaporize spice. more coils and more power are not beneficial to vaporize spice, to much heat just burns it.
best choice for you then would depend if you already have a power mod, what replacement heads are available at the shops you want to buy and of course the price.
if you can accept the wait time and slightly inferior quality, look them up at aliexpress.

hm, it was a stainless steel mesh, some 5mm thick, just fitting with some force into the gvg. dunno. i believe you if you say it works reliable for you and that is cool and all. i just do not see a reason why to bother at this point.

Just checked my GVG in like 1.5weeks and i couldnt see any "run thorughs" of dmt through the steel mesh. Though the pipe is shitty atm cause of massive condensation (i did run out of lungs last time, or more pointly, i lost any sense in the middle of inhalation..)


If we cut the possibility of incorrect vaping tech with GVG here, it seems with all possibility that the issue is wrong type of mesh going on, be it shape, density or placement.

About the vaping technique with GVG... I feel like with torch lighter its just like smoking an ordinary pipe. Start with blue flame tip touching ceramic, not glass walls, straight to ceramic. Then inhale slowly, and as you may feel heat in your mouth in combination with GVG filling with vapour, raise the flame.


Effects have been so strong and astonishing with above, that my usage of DMT has been dramativally lowered in weight consumed.

I did not get good results with the Yocan ...

The smoke was ultra harsh, even 10 mg were nearly impossible to deliver. Dont know why - did everything to get it before I let it down.

Now having really good experience with the Crafty Vaporizer and his liquid pads to directly melt the Spice. Dont use if for Changa, because with regular Freebase it just works so good.
 
I've been using the Vapir by Prima (because it's what I had without buying anything new.) It's designed for MJ like the Mighty/Crafty, Pax, etc. It comes with 2 of the mesh pads for concentrates.
My only modification is I had to put a small piece of stainless steel wire in to hold the pad down to the bottom. It would rise up the chamber removing it from the heat during a draw.

I'm using it on the lowest setting(it has four.) For me it's not harsh at all. I taste the spice, and feel some warmth, but it's quite smooth for me. I can't quite get all of it in one draw. usually do 3-4 just to make sure. Possibly a higher heat setting would get more per draw. I really start feeling the effects before I exhale the first.

I've taken 3-4 draws without reloading to see how efficient it was for me, and to make sure it was clear before reloading. It seems like a small 5-10mg dose maybe left so maybe 1 more draw during a session gets it all.

just another option for people to look at.

Edit for more info: It can be found online for near half of the sug. retail price. I bought mine 1.5 years ago so maybe even cheaper now.
