Best way to save a failed re-x

I think I may have used slightly too much naphtha. I had 0.85g of spice of different descriptions and I used about 40 ml of solvent. After I had decanted the solvent away from the impurities I put it in a small glass and into the freezer it went. After 24 hours only a small layer of crystals have formed on the bottom of the glass a few floating in the solvent. It doesn't even look like half of the amount of spice that went in and there wasn't that much impurities to decant so I think there is still some goodness left in the solvent.

Should I remove the crystals that have formed and try another freeze? Or Should I evap some of the solvent to saturate it before trying another freeze?

What did you do with the impurities? > If you still have them I would do another re-x on it.

You should remove the crystals and weigh them after they have dried, in order to get a better idea than eyeballing from a distance. You may be surprised sometimes it looks like a small amount and you scrape it up and find that there is more than you thought.

You can do this and also refreeze, but most likely you might want to now just evap the rest and scrape that up. Keep em seperate.

Just drying the crystals before I remove them from the glass. I still have the impurities so will re-x them with the solvent from the first re-x and about 0.15g of spice I have from my last pull
