Bit of help needed

So I have decided to grow some shrooms but having problem to decide on strain. Would you guys suggest 1,2 or 3 strains from this list ? Only not crossed out strains are available.

Please keep in mind that I have never used shrooms before and the substrate I will be using is brown rise flour/vermiculite/water cakes

I was thinking about PES Hawai or PF Classic once would that be a good choice ?

This is tough...not a very good selection at the moment. You can also ask for the freshest print. In this case (and every other case) , it is good practice to add a small monetary donation to FSRE...so they're able to keep their site up and possibly run contests for prints. If you can., please send in prints..please please please...

are you asking me to send prints ? I haven't got any my friend. And I will send them some money for prints. The point is which one I should ask for ?

Do you have any experience with them ? Why did you say to ask them for fresh list ? Do you think they do not update it often ?
 
Yeah, the PF Classic should be alright. Even the Amazonian or Texas could be a good starting point. I wouldnt go for any weird one, I think it's better to start with the classics. Plus, I heard that many of the 'special' strains that are sold on most websites are just made up.
 
I would go with the Thai Koh Samui.I have always had good luck with it.It is pretty resistant to contamination.It is also pretty potent as far as a cubensis goes.The PF classic is a good choice also I just prefer the Koh Samui.Last time I ate some the visuals were just like DMT visuals only lasted longer.

Following your tek to the letter to start.
Contamination is the enemy take all precautions .

He meant to send a couple of spore prints back once you'll have grown your own shrooms. It's a way to keep the FSRE alive!
Asking for fresh prints means that they are going to send you very young and strong spore.

I agree with Felnik, most of the newbie fail when they start to improvise. Just stick with the tek!

I know the tek, seen the videos many times what I did not understand was his strain recontamination or generally I did not get his message ??? Why would he think I do not know the tek ? I do not want to improvise what would make him think that ?

It looks like Classic would be the best choice then.

Any more suggestions before I send the letter out ?
 
No. The PFClassic strain is not very good. PEShawaii was a nice mushroom to work with, I've done them on cakes before (it was my first grow) and they just kept growing and growing into foot-longs. The potatency is only average but that dosent mean a thing because to me the best strains are the ones that give you the least of that self reflection phase which sometimes can be a real bringdown.

1. Hawai
2. Thai Koh Samui
3. Amazonian

Will see what they send me
