If you were to do the BLAB with vinegar instead of FASI at the end, how much would you use?
30 ml?

Would one long pull shaken for hours suffice? Or would one use three?

Also, oddly enough, I'm noticing a loss of limo on the fourth pull into the base mix.

?

Could just be an illusion, I'll see what happens.

I'm more curious about the vinegar, though.

I am in the middle of a BLAB also. Interesting you mention that, the loss of limo. I experienced that also. I pulled off all the limo I could and put the jugs of the basic solution away so I could focus on the salting step. I came back to the jugs a few days later and the missing limo was back.

I'm doing FASI so, sorry, cant help with the vinegar.

Is there an advantage to using vinegar versus FASI?

The advantage is that once the acetic acid evaporates, you can then double boil your acetates until all the acetic acid burns off and you are left with freebase!
A very simple conversion :]

i noticed that once or twice..but what i think is happening..since the BLAB is very THICK...it takes a while for it to fully separate..if you let it sit it should come to the surface

also..i have no idea how much vinegar to use..but i would say on 5-100ml pulls i would use probably 4-20ml pulls at least

Can't be it. Used more water and lye because the container was bigger than it should be.

when evaporating the vinegar with heat
are you left with a melted oil?

this oil is what crystallizes when the acetic acid burns off, right?
