BLAB - Too much vinegar, FASI vs. FASW?

So began a BLAB technique extraction on 112g of HP PP MHRB. All values adjusted to 1/4—began tek by using a blender to "powderise bark" .. man this is dusty. Makes confucious sneeze.

Bark mulch was placed in 4L HDPE jug and combined with 250ml of 5% glacial acetic acid. This was left to sit for some time and then agitated with utensil. 2 ~40ml squirts of the 5% acetic solution to rinse said untensil. Also a few ~30ml squirts of said solution to rinse walls of container. Shaken daily for coming on 2 days.

Should an estimated 150ml extra vinegar in this step have any adverse reactions before day 3 comes and lye and etc. becomes practiced?

The extra vinegar doesn't have any effect at all, if anything it's a good thing because you are giving the alkaloids more liquid solution to be absorbed into. You may need extra base after a pull or two to get the pH back to 13-14 because after you pull sometimes the pH can drop a little bit, but that's it. You are good to go

Thanks house. There was contemplations at adding the other 1/4 lb of root bark and seeing how that goes, but having not done this before it was assumed better to try a 1/4 pound—saving the other 1/4 for possible ayahausca tea sessions/a second extraction gearing up for a 1 pound extraction if yields and bioassays are successful.

I thought of a second question that I'm not really sure on after my research. Using the BLAB technique and Fumaric Acid there is currently water available, and possible IPA 99%—but this might have impurities.

Are there any concrete advantages of IPA vs. Water besides time of evaporation?

The FASI has an advantage, in my mind, as only DMT-fumarate precipitates, whereas with FASW you have to clean out the excess fumaric acid at the end.
