hey guys.. just wondering if somebody could give me some advice. i was recently very privileged to acquire some dead leaves from an Acacia Phlebophylla plant. I would like to perform an acid base extraction on them.. i have about 500g of material. I was wondering, is it better to boil the plant material in the acidified solution for a couple hours or to let them soak in the solution for a few days without boiling? I am using 1 part vinegar to three parts water for the solution. Also would 500mls be a good amount of water to work with? or should i use a little more, and will the acidity of the solution change over the three days a significant amount? reason i ask is because i don't have an accurate ph meter for under 6

I really wanna get this extraction right as i dont want to waste these precious leaves from such a rare and special plant

thanks

Hmm interesting question. What speaks against doing both? letting it soak for a while and then cook it. If you want to get everything out you can also keep the Material after A/B and do a STB with it afterwards.
