TEK BOOFF Tek for MDMA purification. From brown oily mess to white dry MDMA crystals

This topic contain a TEK
Migrated topic.
MDP2P huh? Would it also have the saffrole smell to it? And is it psychoactive? (I will look it up but you seem to be ahead on the research).

Of course that what comes out of this tek is far more potent and smells, tastes and looks just like what I have also witnessed as pure stuff.

Thanks for the info. Share more!

Take it with a grain of salt, I personally have no clue, but from my ignorant perspective and based on the common synthesis paths I read about, it seemed plausible.

Wikipedia claims that MDP2P is yellowish green, but if you look up pictures most of them show a brown oil.

From what I read it's not psychoactive, and IIRC many of the precursors produced at different steps seemed potentially dangerous to ingest. I would have to check if that's the case for MDP2P.

Maybe @Mindlusion or @benzyme have some good info on this topic.

Something that surprised me doing the clean-up is how there was so much oil as to form a layer, even though the initial product was a "rock". I should have just siphoned the oil off, but as it was my first time doing it I preferred to stick to the tek.

Tested this with a "cola rock" and final yield of MDxx was 40-50% at best, with 10-20% as non-water soluble retained in the aqueous step and 40-30% as the brown oil with a sassy smell which could be turned in to a brown dirt with a lot of scrape work.

From bluelight reports the cola stuff is usually Sally, not Molly. Many times it can be a lesbian mixture of Sally and Molly. If it's a Sally then it does make a lot of sense it carries so much of its direct parent into it. That shitload is why I asked about MDP2P psychoactivity.

In my case it was a whitish-transparent rock. Final yield was around 70%, I don't know how much of the loss was oil, but probably a good amount of it.

If I come across impure product of this kind again, I will reagent test the oil. AFAIK Simon's should be able to tell MDMA and MDA apart.

@Transform do you happen to know if MDP2P smells similar to safrole?

My run on this was mix in water, filter well, dry loaded water, collect solids and goo and throw into cold acetone, mix well and decant (solids turn powdery yellow, liquid turns reddish brown), add cold ipa and decant (liquid tends to turn brown, not red), when ipa is coming out clearer we go for the dissolve by heat in minimum volume then wait and we get tan colored crystals. Very much like the first boof tek. So we don't dry the acetone stuff, we just throw ipa on top of it and continue.

Collecting the yellow powdery stuff from acetone seemed to be just as good as the crystal ipa stuff, in fact, the ipa re-x looks more brownish than the acetone stuff, though the latter makes for an easier decant. It takes a few ipa re-x to get it truly clean.

All ipa and acetone after drying gave sassy smelling brown oil.

I imagine that a mixture of ipa and acetone might work even better for a cleanup, at least it would save some of the precious acetone.

So, in your case oil didn't separate when mixing in water at the beginning, right?

I also didn't do the IPA re-x and used the yellowish product from acetone. In my case I didn't use IPA at all. I cleaned it twice because the first time it still smelled a bit like safrole.

The original material was dark with red tints and brownish crystals all mixed in, so I guess the term "cola" matches it . It was somewhat oily. No oil sep when mixed with water but a greyish brownish dark sludge did settle and was discarded. Water was yellow red.

So to try to complement the answer to the question what is the brown oil, it may also contain or be reaction by-products as this impurity study demonstrates.

Obviously with something that looks black and red instead of crystals the adulterants are another significant component.
