borex separatory funnel

i know of pyrex but someone send me a borex separatory funnel - it feels more plasticy then pyrex but seems solid enough - how safe is this to use for stb ? and how would i clean it ?

you mean Bomex?

sounds like polypropylene. it'll handle strong bases
if it's borosilicate, so of course it will handle strong bases.

wash either type with dishwashing liquid, or rubbing alcohol.

pyrex, kimax, simax, bomex, lab glass, chemglass, ace glass...they're all borosilicate glass.
