^ That means in layman terms that ethanol (everclear/drinking alcohol) mixes with water; whereas things like naphtha, hexane, and heptane do not. So a standard wet tek style extraction would not work with ethanol. However you could use it in a tek like this or this.
Simple answer, they are all pretty much the same. The heptane and hexane are a little more selective than naphtha which tends to result in a bit cleaner product and a little less yield, but the differences are pretty negligible. In general most people tend to use naphtha for making pulls and heptane or hexane for recrystalization, but all three work fine for both.
SWIM hasn't done enough research to back what SWIM is saying here but SWIM believes alcohol doesn't extract the freebase DMT from the solution....and SWIM heard heptane only pulls small amounts of DMT if you use it like naptha....now SWIM thinks that using heptane to recrystallize wouldn't be a bad idea because you've already pulled the majority of the DMT
Please stop Swimming :!:
The above post looks like a nonsense...you are also talking about legal solvents, why are you trying to cover your tracks.
If you want people to take your posts seriously, please desist with the swim. It does absolutely nothing to cover you in any legal situation.
Thanks.
