Can anyone assist me with the most basic method of extracting DMT, location perth.

Rising Star
hey guys, first time for me here I've been reading up a fair bit, but wondering if anyone can give me a basic run down and possibly what solvents I'll need that are readily available in perth Australia

regards D

CrylCrnz92,

I don't know much about laws in Australia but I bet you could Google which nonpolar solvents are legal in your area.

I do your know your national tree the Wattle is a serious DMT plant. So once you solve the solvent issue you should be on your way.

And if there is no easy way you could look into oral brews.

I wish you luck in your quest.

Shellite from bunnings or similar hardware store.
I have been using a slight variation of Gordo tek and use Shellite for extraction.
Being in Perth means you should have access to lots of wild acuminata... lucky you 😀

Please remember to respect the trees and only use phyllodes ('leaves') as bark harvesting has been killing trees and threatening wild populations. Even better would be to start cultivating the relevant acacia species already.

Gordo tek is basically Q21Q21's white fest tek, if followed closely and if ingredients are top notch it would yield nice clean crystals.

Yes agreed no need to stress the trees...
Acuminata is basically a weed in WA though, so should have no problems finding trees to prune.
Please take some secateurs... no need to rip from the trees 🙏

Hello mate, get heptane. The best solvent I ever tried.
While it's not generally available OTC, using a single-component solvent like this does indeed help with things like predictability of behaviour.

What would you say its best aspects are, @GTRm8, and which methods and plant materials have you tried it with? Maybe a thread in praise of heptane could be compiled from experiences like these, perhaps for our resources section.

The boiling point is about 98°C, and it has a nice selectivity for DMT. It's not as toxic as other solvents and is almost odorless.
