Just a quick question, instead of doing a freeze precip of shellite can swim just put the shellite in with the plant matter (calea) and let it evap so swim is left with dmt herb?
I don't see why it wouldn't work, but in one of the THC threads they were mentioning naptha leaving residue that you'd be able to take care of by drying the changa and then adding some acetone or ethanol.
if the the naptha leaves residue then don't use it for DMT... though it would be advised to leave it longer than normal to dry.
Note that naptha = lighter fluid thus if a flame is held close then you are likely breathing in vaporized naptha EVERY time you smoke... so this SWIM would chose not to worry too much
Absolutely. It will work, do check for residues first. Evap ~200mL or more and see if there is any oily, smelly, or waxy residue left.
The only issue you will face is the potency of the changa. Without measuring the amount of spice and the amount of plant material you cannot guage the stregnth.
if SWIY has a .01g or mg scale that will work well, if not it will help, but still start low, while 40mg of spice is amazing, 60mg is quite scary, at least for SWIM.
SWIM's mg scale was only 20 bucks on Ebay and has maintained accuracy to > .005 < on 10g. It doesn't measure anything under 5mg well though, but 15+ is fine.
Yes, with a mg scale, this would work. My apologies, my mind was rolling slowly yesterday.
I would still personally be a little worried about evaping any large amount of solvents onto plant matieral that I plan on smoking.
Please make sure it really is residue free, and if not, please do the extra step to freeze precipitate and then redissolve in a better solvent...even warm IPA works good.
