Can K9s smell LSD?

Title pretty much says it all. Does anyone know if K9 units are capable of smelling LSD on a strip of blotter?

no LSD is odorless so i wouldn't worry about it.

LSD is odorless

so are pheromones, but dogs detect those very easily. just because you can't smell it doesn't mean they can't.
dogs can probably detect compounds in the hundred nanomolar regime; but they generally aren't trained to sniff out blotter.

Thus the main point. They don't train dogs to sniff out LSD. You could wear a diaper full and they wouldn't give a shit.

Thank you very much. That was the answer I was looking (and hoping) for. I already took into account that just because humans can't smell it doesn't make it odorless, and also that the dogs aren't trained to sniff it out, but I just wanted that confirmation, so thanks.

Sigma Aldrich sells a LSD scent for training dogs, FYI. It's probably not very common to train dogs with it, but it does exist, so it's possible.
