I'm planning on using heptane from start to finish with EW's ACRB tek. This is because it's hard to obtain 100% naphtha where I live. I understand the yield will be affected.
I use heptane for my non polar solvent in everything - STB, A/B, defatting.
Seems to work very well
I like it because I know what I'm dealing with - flash point, boiling point, evaporation rate, solubility - whereas "naphtha" covers a multitude of sins.

Does it work for freeze precip or are you doing a full evap?
:Edit: I forgot to look for the answer before I asked... seems that heptane works the same as naptha for our purposes. In light of this I am probably going to use that as my alternative considering naptha is no longer available where I am. And from what I've read, it is actually more pure than naptha
