Cannabis - Reducing Usage.

I am not 100% sure but I think that THCV is what is present in cannabis..when heated up it converts to THC which is why it has to be smoked or heated up into some type of fat to be active..when THC is ingested though I think it metabolizes differently and becomes something else that is more psychedelic.
Canabis can be classified as a psychedelic..but it's not a classical psychedelic. Whenever I take mushrooms, ayahuasca, mescaline or smoke DMT etc I have a wonderful afterglow that can last for days or a week even..i feel happier and very clear and optimistic..cannabis does not have this for me.

It takes me around a week to forget about weed and don't want much to smoke. But once I smoke after being from weed for a while I want to smoke more and the next day and the next. So then I have cravings for it for a week again.
But these days I'm smoking and I will munch over x-mas and then in the new year I'll take several months off. Probably till next summer. Nice to smoke and have a BBQ in the summers

yes I probabily will end up smoking a bit more in the summer like 2 or 3 times a week becasue I hang out at the beach alot and know most of the people and they are all hippies..all smoke tons etc.
THC-acid is what is present in cannabis. Cannabis plants don't biosynthesize any THC. THC is formed when THC-acid is decarboxylated under heat light and storage.
THC when ingested orally undergoes first pass metabolism and much is transformed into 11-hydroxy-THC. 11-OH-THC is believed to be more psychoactive then regular THC and thus may be why oral cannabis can be more psychoactive.
The vast majority of cannabis that people smoke contains very little CBD. CBD is not psychoactive. In order for CBD to effect the effects of THC you need doses in a ratio of 1:1 or higher. This is how the drug sativex was designed. CBD is an interesting medicinal compound but its not psychoactive. CBN is also barely psychoactive at least from animal and binding studies. I know of no person who has injested pure CBN. I do know people who have injested CBD is doesn't do anything to your mind.
Fiber type cannabis has more CBD in it.
No one really knows why different kinds of cannabis have such different effects. I think it has to do with both cannabinoids and terpenoids. But more research is being done in this area.
Cannabis from southern africa has more THCV in it then types in Europe or the US. Although most cannabis contains trace amounts of the compound. Its significantly higher in African strains.
THCV has interesting pharmacology. It seems to behave as an antagonist at CB1 receptors. But cannabinoid pharmacology is complex sometimes their effects are biphasic.
It depends on the person. If you take too much it can cause dysphoria and anxiety.
