Hey everyone so I'm thinking of making another batch of changa with my most recent extracts and Ive been trying to come up with some good herbs to mix in especially that help with recall of the experience because I can literally never remember anything from my DMT experiences and it makes me sad 😢 if anyone has any good recommendations from their own personal experience I would love to know! I plan on using blue lotus and mullien so far.

What's your complete recipe that you've used so far? Does it include harmala alkaloids?

How about the dose, too? Dosing too high may also impair recall.

The difficulty of remembering DMT journeys is probably of the same nature as the difficulty of remembering dreams so perhaps some of the practices that work for dreams like dream journals might help. This also means no cannabis! I wonder if working on remembering dreams would automatically improve remembering DMT journeys.
Maybe also having a fixed ritual and spending time preparing mentally for the journey rather than dipping in and out.
This post also comes to mind, I miss Intezam 🐦.

Definitely gotta have those harmalas in there, I never make changa without them. And dosage depends on what I'm feeling and how much spice I have to work with. I feel comfortable with 1:1 ratio spice:harmalas and a 2:3 ratio alkaloids:herbs, sometimes I'll do a 1:1 alkaloids:herbs but that can be a bit overpowering for me right off the bat.
My herbs I usually use are mullein and damiana but wanting to mix it up this time. I know blue lotus can help with lucid dreaming so I was thinking maybe some blue lotus might help the recall somewhat afterwards, was gonna try pao d'arco but the only stuff I can find locally tastes horrible when smoked. I'll take any recommendations for good herbal blends anyone else has used in the past!

The no cannabis thing is hard not to do preflight because I get so anxious but I've always been curious about trying because I've heard it can help recall, usually I'll do a little bit of indica about an hour pre launch to help the anxiety. I'm pretty particular about my ritual but I generally have a day long preparation ritual that helps lower my preflight anxiety because that's usually my biggest obstacle when doing a breakthrough dose. Was thinking of adding some CBD flower the the mix in a small amount to help calm the nerves going in as well but I might have to reconsider if I'm trying to bring these experiences back with me afterwards.

@manifest_jynx Sakkadelic said it perfectly,

Also cannabis blocks hinders memories from forming real time, and it messes with your REM sleep which is crucial. Definitely quit cannabis 100%. It takes a moth to clear from the fat in your body so maybe give your body two months to recover. Healthy food and good sleep can help you recover faster.

Meditation can help you process anxiety. (just) Sit for an hour or two if necessary. Sitting metabolizes your fears as the rise up. It can take a little while sometimes for adrenaline in the body to get metablized. Sitting also builds momentum so if you have a lot of anxiety, having sat for 1-2 hours can have a snowball effect of centeredness and clarity. You are directly investing energy into your future mind when you sit like this. It does it of it's own accord too when you are just sitting.

The other day someone brought up beta blockers on this forum. Apparently they can make the DMT 'stronger', but they also might be able to help you with adrenaline.

You can also try learning to trance out using various methods. Some common methods adjust environment, and oftentimes introduce elements of sound, or fire, or scents smokes etc. The act of preparing this wonderful space can be a great way to ritualize before your psychedelic journeys, and it's a gift on your journey to have it in such a beautiful space.

@Sakkadelic The scent topic is so so so cool, since scent has been for me the sense of mine most strongly associated with memory. It isn't necessarily that I introduce scents into my trips, as much as it is, for whatever reason, my sense of smell is enhanced, and suddenly totally normal air has so much life to it. Just like the colors, or the sounds are intimate, so too becomes the ecstatic sex of multicolored air in my lungs, and it's coincidentally when my sense of smell activates that I start to breathe across memory-time. I would love to explore these things further and I'm really looking forward to the spring for this reason as well 😄

Also forgot to mention if anyone has any ratios they like to use that work well for them I'd like to hear that as well. I prefer a 2:3 spice:herb ratio because I can breakthrough with that blend no problem as long as harmalas are added. More curious to hear anyone's experience with harmalas:spice ratio that works for them

Try pre-dosing with Harmalas. Definitely helps with the anxiety. Just smoke some.

Also, the info on beta blockers is extremely interesting. I've seen people have them lying around so often in my life. Bet I suddenly don't see them as so common. ;)
Maybe, like so many other things, when it's time.

In addition to what our colleagues said, there is good evidence for the use of omega-3 and magnesium as supplements for cognition and memory, and I have been using and promoting them for many years. Além de muitas outras plantas dietéticas.

Omega-3 is an essential fatty acid that we need to supplement anyway if we don't want to have cognitive deficits throughout our lives. After all, it coats the myelin sheath of all the neurons in the body.

A vegan, gluten-free diet with a lot of probiotics and deworming protocols (Essenes seems to did this) make it easier for the body to purify itself and download more cosmic information, to keep up with the spiritual information being received (software update) the physical body needs to be increasingly clean and strong (hardware update) otherwise you may even develop kundalini syndrome, when the practitioner has a dirty/unprepared physical body and receives a very strong spiritual download (through the crown chakra)

With the holonomic theory of the brain, Karl Pribram discusses the non-locality of memory, so I wonder if the nervous system (physical body) wouldn't be a kind of machine that needs to be well-oiled to remember memories from the past (non-localized/non-linear) regardless of the moment in the future.

The case of Yeshe Tsogyal, a disciple of Guru Rinpoche, is well described in Buddhist literature. She was a disciple of Guru Rinpoche. She would have the siddhi of absolute memory, which makes us reflect on the true potential of our mind.

I generally always do harmalas with my spice, it's very rare I smoke just straight spice anymore. I get much more healing and a deeper experience with harmalas and find the experience without is kind of chaotic.
The anxiety is always something I just need to push myself through most times even after meditation, yoga, and preparation because once I'm on the other side it completely washes away.

Also now that I think about it I actually am on a beta blocker for migraines and it seems to potentiate the maois and spice for me since I started taking it.

Do you pre-dose? (Instead of with the pot) As Gracie and Zarkov say, the first alert that I'm feeling Harmalas (especially from Rue) is a feeling of calm.

I'f I'm smoking changa no, usually it just comes along with the spice. If I'm smoking my freebase I usually load up a bowl of harmalas 15-20mins before the spice and then meditate

As for recall, I don't think it's so much about using some exogenous aid to help with recall, but instead training yourself to have better recall. Some things that have helped me is really just general memory training. An app called mnemonics is great. And free. Lately, I've also been speaking about the experience out loud to myself and/or doing a voice recording of some aspect of the experience. I like journaling soon after as well, though I am not as consistent as I'd like with this. Keep your phone away from you so that you're not tempted into distraction that will hinder your connection and engagement at assimilating the experience within yourself.

It's worth noting, whatever you go through becomes a part of you, regardless of whether you remember or not. It's always with you.

One love

This is what I came up with this time.
Herbs used: 50% Mullein, 25% Blue lotus, 25% Mugwort (1.5 grams of herbs in total)
3:2:1 ratio of herbs:spice:harmalas
Also threw in the last gram or so of my last batch of changa which I believe was a 1:1 spice:harmalas and made with mullien and damiana.
It's almost dry so almost time for a test!
Thanks for all your feedback everyone, much love! ❤️
