Hi Folks,
this just turned up in my youtube feed and provides a great explanation of polymophism in chemical compounds ( i.e. why DMT can be goo as well as crystals ) by way of examples from drugs, explosives, and chocolate :)

An entertaining and educational watch, with only a dash of over dramatisation.

Thanks for posting this one so I don't have to!

In the case of tin, it's allotropy, and with the explosive silver fulminate it's an isomer of the non-explosive silver cyanate. Polymorphism occurs as different crystalline forms of the same chemical compound. Chocolate being a complex mixture makes it an interesting example of an extension of the phenomenon.
