Simply lovely! What's the stock? I have at least one caespitosa that would by nice to get grafted up and turbo-charged like this. It certainly makes my multiple metres of PC look a lot more worthwhile.

I've got a feeling it's killed it's root stock and might be on its own roots now?
The original root stock (which I rate over pedro) is trichocereus spachianus. But that piece was a small off cut maybe 5-6cm diameter and 5-6cm in height. It was an off cut that had one root on it when I grafted it to the caespitosa and both clearly went nuts.
I've grafted quite a few cuttings to spachianus and grandifloria. And do rate them particularly the spachianus. And they're abundant and free in my area. Alot of farms have them randomly growing and if asked farmers will often encourage you to take them. They're tough and root fast and get most stock pumping fairly quick.
Edit: I feel like in my climate spachanius is a better root stock out of the pot and on par with pedro in a pot. I've also found if you graft close to the ground by the time the graft is really getting big it'll usually tries to throw its own roots either suffocating the root stock or rooting next to it.
