Cleaning dmt n-oxide

After SWIM did the limetek all of the dmt was n-oxides. Used IPA and filtered through a coffee filter to clean somewhat, but is there a way to clean further?

Used hot naphtha, but was just yellow oily stuff at the bottom. Tried to dissolve and crystalize, but nothing dissolved. The final product was 3 layers light yellow crusty stuff on top, brown goo middle and yellow oil at bottom and none dissolves in Naphtha, does dissolve in water or IPA.

Yeah, it could very well be n-oxide; and fats/oils pulled initially with the naphtha would have been removed after the recrystallisation.

It is hard to suggest anything else to clean it further. I believe it is clean enough as it is, so tell SWIY to try it!

Well, I didn't tell you there are any oils, in fact I told you quite the opposite!

The bit about adding dmt acetate to hot naphtha throws me a bit. The hot nap re-x that I am familiar with starts with fb.

Maybe mistaken, but read that in hot naphtha dmt would be dissolve leaving impurities and then would freeze precipitate out. But when this was done after decanting the naphtha the remaining stuff was yellow-brown sticky oil and no white crystal formations. Looking online it seemed to indicate being dmt n-oxides. The dmt acetate was dried with a warm fan, which, found out that can cause the conversion. So, looking at a different way to clean the dmt acetate, tried to use 99% ipa to clean. This resulted in a off white dusty powder (inactive) filtered out through coffee filter about 1/3 of total weight and a yellow crusty top, brownish/red goo that had yellowish oil forming below it. Again tried a hot naphtha pull, just in case but this time nothing was pulled.

So, SWIM was looking to clean up the oxide first to see if it is worth keeping, before trying to convert them back to DMT using zinc powder.

Any suggestions?

well, if you put dmt acetate into the warm naphtha without converting it to freebase dmt first.... you are past a point where I can help you. Maybe Inf or another smart person can help you. The standard naphtha re-x is performed on freebase dmt.
