Cleaning up the front of the forum

Hi all,

Every now and then it's time to look at the front of the DMT-Nexus forum to see if some things can be changed to enhance the forum. On this moment I'm thinking about the following:

Remove the 'DMT-Nexus Wiki' entry
After many months we see that the interaction between the Wiki and the forum doesn't need a seperate entry. The threads posted in that entry will be moved to their appropriate locations.

Merge 'General and n00b' into 'General Extractions Help'
Since we have the nursery we have two forum entries that are about the same. Since it's setup for the new members I think it's best that we merge the 'General and n00b' into the 'General Extractions Help'.

Merge 'Other Extractions' into 'Advanced/Enhanced chemistry'
Many of the posts in 'Other Extractions' are actually enhanced chemistry. Because of this I think it's best to merge the 'Other Extractions' into 'Advanced/Enhanced chemistry'.


Please provide your input on this.

1 thing that i think would help is having the page width set to the width of the picture then wrapping the buttons to that.
At 1440x900 resolution the chat button is under the far right of the pic.

We had that in the past and a lot of people complained about that. What I did now is some sort of hybrid: the link-header is now the same width as the DMT-Nexus logo image while the rest of the page is still 100% width.

looks much nicer - 1 thing that could possibly also make it look better is to center it - if that doesnt cause any issues.

I've just tried that but believe me when I say that it doesn't look any better. ;)
 
Its all GOOD I will leave it to you guys to figure it out. I am confident things will be just fine.

The site has realy come a long way in a short period of time. We are not just about information, people here seem to treat one another with more respect than in the so called "Real World".

That truly is a wonderful thing in my opinion. This message is just as important as our stance and respect for DMT.
