Convert freebase to fumarate

Hi all. I see there are conversion guides from fumarate to freebase but not the other way around. The idea is I already have lots of solvent so I'll keep making freebase. But how do I convert it to fumarate after?
 
Thank you. Looks pretty straight fw. Maybe this is a really stupid question : can fumaric acid be replaced /w something else? Or synthetised? Or it's best to just go buy it from amazon/ebay etc? In my country you need a permit for the pure substance.
 
Fumaric acid is used for candies among other.

Maybe if you look for fumaric acid for food you have more luck?


Also, why do you need a DMT-salt? Your e-juice? If that is the case you can check the topic about salts for e-juice.

I'm looking for a long(er) term storage method. I already keep my spice in air tight glass in the fridge but fumarate looks more stable.
 
DMT-fumarate is indeed much better for long term storage.

Since fumaric acid is just a food additive I think you should easily find it in bulk online.

Usually just fumaric acid, you can find it for candy and also for skin care. Maybe you have to translate it to your local language to find out what the local name is (not sure what country you are in)?

Online it is available from many places in food grade bulk, and for a nice price as well.

Benzoic acid is a good alternative, simply dissolve the freebase in naphtha and add the solution of benzoic acid in naphtha. It crystallizes pretty quickly and you don't have to worry about any goo. I have always had trouble with fumarate, you have to dry the acetone and all, and may still end up with goo rather than crystals. You can also make benzoic acid yourself if you have access to sodium benzoate and dilute HCl.

Looks like dmt benzonate also vaporise about 20 degrees higher than freebase. So I could just use my old pipe. Have you tried to vaporise benzonate dmt? Does it work? Also looks like I can gey my hands on sodium benzoate so I can just go on with this. The 'tek' remains the same as using fumaric acid The FASA Method - DMT-Nexus Wiki ?
 
Vaporizing it is a bit more complicated, you have to get the airflow right, the temp needs to stay in the right range and so on. The vapor is quite smooth if you do it right, but if you over heat, the benzoic acid molecule gets separated and the vapor becomes impossible to inhale. It works far better in the case of 5-meo, but for vaporizing DMT, freebase is pretty much the best way to go. Benzoate would be good for other ROA like oral or intranasal. I don't know much about the toxicity, but other's have mentioned elsewhere that the salt itself is safe.
 
I believe DMT fumarate can also be very useful for oral (example: pharmahuasca) or even nasal dosing (sounds very interesting). I would certainly look into those things. I'm preparing for another round of extraction and this time it will be FASA approach ending with fumarate salt, therefore I'm looking into this process as well.

I did a bit of research on the forums regarding other acids that could replace fumaric acid. I was thinking about either tartaric or malic acid as they're food-grade/non-toxic. Sadly I've read somewhere that both of these acids will not work well because of being too soluble in the solvent (cannot rember which thread or post it was).

Seems safe, I googled and it seems that some guys called "Beckley Psytech" are running some 5-MeO-DMT benzoate (and they patented the preparation) trials for treatment of depression.
