Country song about DMT

Migrated topic.
Holy cow!!!

That is awesome!!!

It makes me feel better to know that there are other psychedelic rednecks out there who can actually sing & play music...

It gets lonely being me sometimes, y'know?

Not really though...not with enough psychedelics, beautiful land, loving wife, animals, plant friends/allies & music running through my head 24/7...😁

Peace.

Oh man that sounds like the life! I intend to be right there with ya by the end of next year if i can. Can't take anymore of this city life.

But yeah that song... Like wow... I'm impressed. It just hits the heads on all the nails and is so intelligently written. My lady put it one while i was smoking DMT and it sort of just faded to the background and i was like "this is cool i guess". Then he started talking about reptile aliens and i was like :!: "get those lyrics and start it over!" I played it about 20 times on the way to and back from class yesterday... gotta work on my crooning now

Hells yes this is great! I just let youtube keep playing his tracks and I am not normally into country but this is like old school but deep!

I was nearly moved to tears, listening to this. Definitely in a genre of its own. Count me in for a couple hundred more hits on Sturgills Utube video.

Marijuana, LSD, psilocybin, and DMT they all changed the way I see
But love's the only thing that ever saved my life
Well, I'll be... If that ain't the truest damn thing I ever did hear...

Thank you for sharing! This feller is quickly coming to be one of my favorite artists, and I surely do appreciate you bringing his work to those of us who've never heard it before.

And thanks for the Gene Autry link! It's always been one of my favorites! :D

Yes I'm quickly coming to learn that turtles all the way down just scratches the surface. I've always disliked country but stughill makes me want to take a handful of mushrooms and throw a proper hoedown! Metamodern Sounds is quickly becoming a favorite album!

Hehe, yeah this song is great. I initially found out about this song from a joe rogan podcast some time ago. Great podcast between them two. :)

There's a gateway in our mind that leads somewhere out there beyond this plane
Where reptile aliens made of light cut you open and pull out all your pain
Tell me how you make illegal something that we all make in our brain
Some say you might go crazy but then again it might make you go sane

Every time I take a look inside inside that old and fabled book
I'm blinded and reminded of the pain caused by some old man in the sky
Marijuana, LSD, psilocybin, and DMT they all changed the way I see
But love's the only thing that ever saved my life

So don't waste your mind on nursery rhymes
Or fairy tales of blood and wine
It's turtles all the way down the line
So to each their own til' we go home
To other realms our souls must roam
To and through the myth that we all call space and time

<3 it :D
