Crystals in the soup

Migrated topic.

It didn’t have a bunch of lye soup contaminating it? I’ve been able to pluck them, but they had a bunch of black soup on the base of the cluster so I threw it back.

Very very little took some tweezers and pulled it off clean as a whistle now... I mean if it is lye it wont burn.. If its salt it wont hurt me lol. Im hoping it is epic experience.

Yeh, I've seen this a couple of times before- usually when its been really cold and left overnight: essentially its exactly what it looks like...crystals crashing out of the solvent.

Simple solution is warm up the whole jar (base tea and solvent) as much as needed until crystals dissolve back into the solvent.

How does one grow a .250mg crystal like that

To get bigger crystals, do a hot pull on your soup, and let it sit in a cupboard for a day or two. Then put in fridge for a day or two, then freezer. The slower you let it cool, the bigger the crystals become. It gives the molecules more time to find each other and congregate into one solid mass instead of thousands of snowflakes. Also, the more concentrated your solvent is, the bigger the crystal will come out with slow cooling/evaporating.

Below are the biggest crystals I’ve ever grown. Together those three added up to .23 grams, following above cupboard/fridge/Freezer method.
