So i am attempting my first extraction using the poor man's tek but I need help with my next step I am crystalizing now and I don't know if its supposed ]to look really dark redish color with some clear crystals and now I have a white poweder on top which I believe is the sodium carbonate I used. I know I need to dissolve this but was wondering how I can clean these crystals

oh my. it seems like you have A LOT of basic material. ive never done poormans, but it seems like all the brown is rootbark and sodium carb. it looks like all the white stuff is spice. could be wrong though, better wait for someone who knows what they are talking about to respond.
i have never used the poor man's tek but i agree with abusedtoaster on it looks like you carried over alot of plant matter.
if this was a naphtha pull i would say redissolve that whole mess in your solvent wash with sodium carbonate and re crystal. but again i dont know much about poormans other then you use sodium carbonate as your base and vegi oil.

Spance - if you see dark matter in with it, I think you carried plant matter over. I have not done this tek, so I can not be of much help. STB is the simplest extraction there is (thats why I chose it). Then try the tricky stuff later.
How many extractions have you done? Can you scrape up this stuff and put it in a pyrex tray? It is just very hard to see in that picture.

This is my first one I heard poor man's was supposed to be the easiest and I liked that I didn't have to use any chemicals and keep it food safe. But yes there is a lot of dark matter and of oil that I used i believe got carried over aswell it was canola oil. The plant I went with is acacia
confusa. Here is a pic of a seperate batch I am drying with the same method I filtered this one through a shit load of coffee filters yet it still carried more over.
