Custom DMT pipe.

In December I drew up a design and took it down to the local glass shop. The Lady there said she could have one of the artist make it for me. She seemed real interested and said she had a lot of people ask for a good spice pipe and I think she had a few more made than the one I got.

Its a 19mm tube to hold lots of smoke. The bowl is replaceable because I am having them work on a tube that has artwork on it. And when the bowl breaks I do not want to have to toss the art.

Now that I think about it you would only need that bowl piece custom made and then you could just use downtems for bongs as the tube.

Yep robmarley, I was in the glass shop bullshitting looking at the glass on glass down stems one day and I came up with the idea went home drew the design.
I have not used it yet but I will tomorrow or the next day.

I think I want to coin the term for it as a 'V-pen'.

After reading about the GVG I was thinking about a way to have a heat source that's hot enough to get vapors without burning the spice. I was thinking if I torched a charcoal used for hookahs I could rest it on top, but that doesn't sound very quick.

I thought about using a small round candle and hold the pipe above the flame to figuring out the correct distance then making a stand that's slightly adjustable.

dude!!!! That piece looks awesome. Maybe the thick glass will make it work better than typical oil bowls.

Seriously sweet looking pipe. I would probably "have to" buy one if I came across it. I already own a glass vg and love it. But, when I think about a spice pipe, your design is whats I picture.

Yeah, i was going to say that looks very similar to a downstem in a bong.. Although most downstems have holes in the glass near the bottom where it would go into the water.. Probably to get a better bubbling effect. I haven't tried DMT yet, but I might have to try to get ahold of something like this for my other oils.

I did a lot of experimenting with vaporizing devices and heat sources, although I did not experiment with the GVG.

I've found out that the source of heat is much more important than the smoking device. I tried matches, candles, Bic lighters, torch lighters, water bath and heat guns.

I've vaporized the spice in the machine, bongs of varying sizes and shapes, test tubes, pipes and various odd looking lab glassware. Admittedly, nothing so beautifully looking as yours.

IME, nothing beats a good heat gun + a small dry bong combo. Only matches are worse than candles.

With a heat gun and a small bong I need ~25-30 mg for full breakthrough and I rarely have to take more than one toke.

I blieve, a good source of heat is the one that produces a lot of heat, but with relatively low temp (500C - 600C). Heat guns do this very well. Low inertia electric heaters (a la soldering irons) may be even better, but they are less portable.

A lot of the glass is clean cause some of it is for sale and has not been used.

Two of the glass artists are from Seattle and one artist is from Colorado.

I think I will use a butane torch style lighter with my DMT pipe. I think that may be easy to handle. I have not used the pipe pictured and is now for sale. I am getting some art work done on another DMT pipe like the one pictured and I do not need two.

Nice collection. I love glass pipe too (but eh, the GVG is my favorite piece because of it's simplicity).

Due to the nature of this forum id sugest that you DONT trade anything here at the nexus. Giving out address and names is asking for trouble IMO. Like I said, sales was not my intent. I was posting up pics here cause I do not have enough posts to put em in another section. People showed an interest so I asked that they talk to me privately rather than in the forums so we can keep sales of items away from this forum.

Besides these are not DMT pipes, they are tobacco pipes, only the original post has a picture of the DMT pipe I designed.

I understand trade and sales of goodies is bad, I am not very anonymous here so illegal activity is THE LAST THING I would ever consider. I do not like getting locked up.
