Cyb tek- food grade soda?

In the cyb tek method is it necessary to use food grade caustic soda? What is the difference in the end result?
 
I don't believe so, but that's just based on me never reading that as a requirement. In fact, I wasn't aware of food grade lye until reading your post, ha. If food grade lye is just lye with less impurities, I'd have to assume it would be better to use.

I hope it's not necessary, as I just started my first cyb tek extraction with regular lye
