Cybs Salt TEK with a Clean up Basic Questions

Hello this is my first post on the nexus but have been reading for a year or so.

I am trying to do an extract from 100G of Acacia Confusa Root Bark powder with Cyb's Hybrid Salt Tek with a clean up at the end as described here and have some questions which i have not been able to find answers to on the forum with the search function.

Does the size of the bottle matter?
I cant seem to find a half gallon bottle anywhere that isn't made of pet unless i order one online but i haven't really got the money at the moment. Would it be okay to use a larger bottle? Would it cause any problems top occur during my extraction? Would yield be affected?

If i Don't do heat baths How much will it affect my yield?

You don't need half gallon. You need 1L.
Vinegar can be found in 1L glass bottles. You can store the vinegar in a plastic 2Liter bottle & use for extraction as needed, use the glass vinegar bottle to extract in.

heat baths i think help yeilds a great deal & really help with emulsions. I'd reccommend keeping the heat bath.
Crockpot works well.

For the mini a/b a 750ml liquor bottle works fine if you add the lue directly to the bottle rather than make a mixture.
It requires far less than 50g lye for the mini ab as well, 1g dmt is converted to freebase very quickly by small amounts of lye & ph of 500ml with no plant matter jumps to 14 fast. Just pour in maybe 5-7g or a little mote slowly until you see the bottle go white then cap & shake to help dissolve the lye.

Do you have something better than a turkey baster to suck up solvent? A liquor bottle will not work with turkey basters because they are too wide to fit in the neck.

As this is my first extraction I could be wrong, but I thought the tek called for a 2 liter bottle as the sum of the water, acrb, lye, and salt used is nearly 2000ml?

Thank you for the input on the heat baths I will make sure not to omit them. Thank you for the crock pot idea as well! that will work perfectly.

I already have a 1 liter glass bottle for the cleanup that will work just fine I'm just having trouble finding a 2 Liter bottle that isn't PETE.

I have an oral syringe and a turkey baster. thank you for bringing this to my attention as my turkey baster does not fit into my clean up bottle so I'll go get something else that will work!:d

Yeah your right it does require a 2L bottle. My bad.
I'd steer away from any plastic materials if you can. Evem doing 2 separate 50g extractions in different bottles is better than leaching plasticizers into your dmt.

& no. A larger bottle with empty space works fine.
The only problem you may run into is reaching the solvent layer if it's a real tall bottle & separating layers can be a real pain when the solvent layer doesn't have a neck to sit in, it requires much more solvent to have a layer thick enough to accurately remove without getting any basic solution & needs to be evapped down alot before freeze precip. This shouldn't be a problem for you though, since your doing the mini a/b you'll discard the initial solvent anyways & can use smaller volumes in the smaller cleanup bottle.
