So I couldn't find any discussion onother cyperus except piri piri, so just to post my experience with Cyperus alternifolius.
Got few plants few days ago. Researched a here and here --> smokable lsa's from common house plant!!!
Garden of Eden also speaks about Cyperus.
Smoked half a leaf while drinking beer. Noticeable sedation and weird feeling, weird state of consciousness??
Later smoked one inch of thin root, much more sedation. Chewed on half a leaf no noticable effects.
From what I read it should contain beta carbolines and ergot like symbiotic fungi. I didn't get dangerous feeling from the plant. Spirit is quite nice, young male, stern and righteous but also laid back I would say. Idk if completely honest??? Just starting to work with it. A bit scared of him but I got the feeling that's just because there is not much info on the plant and someone said on shaman australis tht some cyperus can cause lasting infertility.
Feel asleep pretty easy although I felt that I would struggle to sleep no matter the sedation. Had some nightmare?? Idk but it was very nice laying around trying to fall asleep while under its influence.
Also when I looked myself in mirror before going to bad I was pretty amazed by my body because it looked alien?? to me. I was somehow detached and from that place could appreciate its structure and idk design?
I was replanting cyperus while under its influence and also doing other things so I wasn't really able to pay attention to its effects. It looks like it would maybe be good for meditation
